### Healing Through Veteran Experiences, Mental Health, and Faith

**Welcome to a Journey of Healing and Hope**

Welcome to **Reporting for Duty**, a space where **veteran experiences, mental health challenges, and faith-based healing** come together to provide support, understanding, and hope. As someone who has walked the path of PTSD, chronic illness, and spiritual transformation, I understand how crucial it is to integrate healing for the body, mind, and soul. Through this blog, I aim to advocate for mental health awareness while offering a faith-centered approach to wellness. Together, we will explore the powerful intersection of holistic healing, PTSD recovery, and Christian faith.

This blog is for veterans, individuals battling mental illness, and Christians seeking spiritual guidance in their healing journey. If you’re searching for answers, struggling to make sense of your suffering, or seeking a deeper connection with God, you’re not alone. This space is for you.

**Welcome to Reporting for Duty: A Journey Through Illness and Faith**

In December 2017, my journey began at boot camp, where I sustained a femoral neck stress fracture. Despite graduating while on crutches and unaware of the battles ahead, this injury marked the start of a long and painful path. Over time, my body began to deteriorate. My knees, back, and nerves suffered greatly, and years later, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, rib cage calcification, and IBS. Every day turned into a fight against exhaustion and discomfort, leaving me physically drained.

Like many veterans, I had to navigate a broken healthcare system, constantly advocating for the care I needed. It was frustrating, disheartening, and exhausting, and I know many of you have faced the same uphill battle.

Emotionally, I was unraveling. As a mother, I felt like I was failing—unable to be the strong, supportive figure my child needed. My frustration grew into anger, and soon, I began to doubt God. I questioned why He had allowed me to suffer. I searched for healing in all the wrong places, only to be met with more confusion and heartache.

Then, something miraculous happened. In the midst of my darkest moments, I experienced a profound spiritual awakening. It wasn’t easy or smooth; it was terrifying at times. But through those spiritual battles, God revealed Himself in ways I had never known before. He humbled me, showed me the depth of His love, and opened my eyes to the spiritual warfare we all face.

This blog is about that journey—through pain, through doubt, and ultimately, through faith. It’s a story of finding strength and hope in the darkest times. Together, we will explore the path of **veteran mental health**, spiritual healing, and finding restoration through faith.

Welcome to **Reporting for Duty**, where the journey to healing, restoration, and spiritual discovery begins.
