“Consider it pure joy… whenever you face trials… because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
In the depths of my conscious mind, I found myself in a spiritual battle I didn’t ask for but could no longer ignore. I felt pulled toward a dark, hollow reality—one where the light of the world seemed dim, distant, almost unreachable. Every day became a fight to keep the darkness from taking ground.
I had tasted forbidden fruit, and once I did, my perception of life shifted. I could no longer see the world the same way. I worked tirelessly to keep the darkness away, but it moved, adapted, and surrounded me. Time felt heavy. I could feel it wearing on my body, my mind, and my soul.
The voices in my head grew louder over time. They beat against my spirit until I barely recognized myself. Intrusive thoughts distorted my perception, convincing me that everything was worse than it truly was. What once felt manageable now felt overwhelming.
I became aware of shadows—forces I couldn’t fully explain—watching, influencing, manipulating my reality. A constant static of negativity ran through my spirit, leaving me exposed and vulnerable, questioning my strength.
And yet, even in the midst of that darkness, I knew there was something unbreakable inside me. I felt it every time I resisted giving up. I fought against the punctures and arrows aimed at my soul—attacks designed to limit my creativity, silence my hope, and disconnect me from purpose.
I learned that life isn’t just sunshine and rainbows. It’s a battlefield of good versus evil, truth versus deception. And more often than not, darkness fights hardest when light is near. I also learned that this is not a battle meant to be fought alone.
I longed for heaven’s light—for the comfort, love, and presence of the divine. I remembered what had been revealed to me: creation, capability, love, anger, passion—every part of being fully alive and fully human.
As I began breaking free from comfort and complacency, a hunger for freedom took hold of me. A desire not just to survive, but to be aligned with God. I realized my calling wasn’t to escape the darkness—but to confront it, to reclaim my identity, and to walk fully in my purpose.
The journey hasn’t been easy, and the battle isn’t short. But I continue forward with faith and perseverance, believing that light always overcomes darkness—and that the warrior’s path leads not to destruction, but to transformation.
